  • The memes of the week

Netflix wasn’t chill about password sharing

Over 100 million households shared Netflix accounts. That's over 40% of the entire subscriber base. So when Netflix announced it was clamping down on password sharing, it was a huge risk. After all, Netflix was synonymous with the concept, once tweeting, “Love is sharing your password.” The news was met with discontent, and the company was ridiculed on social with memes.

Well, it seems Netflix can chill. New data shows the crackdown has driven US sign-ups to a four-year all-time high, and the stock price has risen over 20% in the past month. It comes as a surprise, given the current economic climate and the fact the content on Netflix isn’t that… good?

Our prediction? Despite rivals taking potshots, if the data shows it drives more subs, the rest will soon follow. The streaming industry is too cutthroat to get left behind by competitors.

If password sharing ends, would you pay?

Can AI please replace us already?

You became a founder to change the world with your ideas, perspectives, and the problems you want to solve. But now, the busyness of business is slowing you down. Could AI be the answer?

Pete Sena is an agency founder who can’t wait for AI to replace him — shocked gasps. Of course, he doesn’t want to lose his job, but he is more than happy for it to handle his time and energy-sucking tasks.

Here’s how Pete is revolutionizing the way he works:

  1. Modernize your meetings - Use AI tools to transcribe, summarize and provide highlights, and send out a punch list of action items immediately after meetings end. You can use Notion’s in-built AI to perform this task for you.

  2. Talk numbers with your business - The beauty of AI is how quickly it can comb through large data sets. Build yourself simple interfaces using OpenAI APIs and ask your company’s financials questions like “when will we run out of money?” (We hope the answer is the one you wanted.)

  3. Relieve yourself of robotic tasks - Stop wasting your time or delegating this wasted time to others. AI can automate everything from case study discovery, competitor research, drafting content, and planning lunches. Doesn't that sound good?
